Bible Study Made Easy

Objective: To help participants attain basic awareness of the Bible – for instance, the order of the Old and New Testaments, origins of the Bible, basic understanding of Bible versions, common Bible resources, and helpful handles in reading and studying the Bible using the Observation, Interpretation, Application (OIA) method.

Hearing The Voice Of God

Objective:

  1. To bring awareness to believers that everyone can hear God speaking to them.
  2. To practise listening to God speak and to be sensitive to His voice as they seek Him and walk with Him.
  3. To be accountable to their leader by sharing what they sense or hear from the Lord in their journey of life, and accepting guidance where necessary.

Overview of the Old Testament

Objective: An 8-week course to help believers understand the message of the Old Testament and the promise of the coming Messiah found there. With a clear understanding, we hope to help you embark on reading the Old Testament and better position the verses or stories you read within the larger context of what had happened or what was being said or taught in the passage.

Overview of the New Testament

Objective: A 5-week course that provides an overview of the New Testament. It covers the historical context and key events in the life of Jesus, as well as highlights of Apostle Paul’s missionary journeys, his trip to Rome, and subsequent imprisonment. The course also includes short studies on the books of Hebrews, James, and Revelation.

The Gospels

Objective: The four gospels all tell a unique perspective of the same story – the story of Jesus and His redemptive work. This is a four-week course that would help participants understand how the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke) and the Gospel of John came about.

  1. The Synoptic Problem and Highlights of the Gospels
  2. The Story of Jesus in the Gospels
  3. Jesus’ Communication with His Father, His disciples, and the crowd
  4. Jesus’ Message on the Kingdom of God and His Kingship

The Minor Prophets (Chinese)

The 12 Minor Prophets, often referred to as "The Twelve," are a collection of short prophetic books in the Old Testament. The 4-week course will explore the common theme of calling for repentance and a return to God, but their messages also include warnings, encouragement, and glimpses of hope.

Introduction to Mental Health Response (English/Chinese)

Mental health struggles are on the rise and too often, people suffer in silence, unsure of where to turn. A timely and caring response can make a difference.

  • Respond with Care — Apply simple yet effective listening and response strategies and tools, including self-care
  • Offer Hope & Direction — Identify and point others toward trusted professional resources

This two-part workshop will equip you with practical skills to support those struggling when they need it most.

Systematic Theology

What is Systematic Theology?

It is the methodical study of Christian doctrine that organizes the teachings of the Bible into distinct, logical categories. It compiles what the entire Bible says about a specific topic (e.g., God, sin, or salvation) to create a coherent framework of beliefs.

Why Systematic Theology matter?

Systematic theology goes beyond just knowing isolated verses. It builds a complete worldview, which helps believers answer complex questions, guard against doctrinal errors or false teachings, and apply their faith practically to daily life. 

The Core Branches of Systematic Theology

Systematic theology is typically divided into ten major categories, often called "doctrines".

  • Bibliology: The study of the Bible, its inspiration, and its authority.
  • Theology Proper: The study of God the Father, His attributes, and His existence.
  • Christology: The study of the person and work of Jesus Christ.
  • Pneumatology: The study of the Holy Spirit, His gifts, and His role in the world.
  • Angelology: The study of angels, as well as demons and Satan.
  • Anthropology: The study of humanity, including our creation in the image of God.
  • Hamartiology: The study of sin, its origin, and its consequences.
  • Soteriology: The study of salvation and how it is achieved.
  • Ecclesiology: The study of the Christian Church, its purpose, and its practices.
  • Eschatology: The study of the "end times," including death, the afterlife, and the return of Christ.
